A three-year professional, Carlos "The Solution" Morales got off to a shaky start in his career in 2012, but once the calendar shifted to 2013, "The Solution" has been unstoppable winning nine straight bouts, with two of them already coming in 2015.
A four-year professional, Carlos Morales got off to a shaky start in his career in 2012, but once the calendar shifted to 2013, “The Solution” has been unstoppable, with 2015 his biggest year yet. Born in 1990 in the small town of Tulancingo, Hidalgo, Mexico, he relocated to Highland Park, California starting his boxing career at the age of 10. His father felt he had a lot of energy and soccer was not enough for him, so he signed young Carlos up for boxing. Little Carlos went to the gym and saw pictures of boxing legends up on the walls. He decided he wanted his picture up on the wall someday as well and at 12 years-old he had his first amateur fight and a star was born. Morales made his professional debut in 2012 after a stellar amateur career that included 45 fights, and after losing his professional debut to Allan Benitez, he engaged in three consecutive draws. But in his fifth professional fight on March 1, 2013, he finally got into the win column with a decision over Johnny Frazier, and he’s kept the momentum going ever since. He has picked up eight more victories since then, including a November 2014 win over well-regarded Gabriel Tolmajyan. In 2015, Morales signed with Golden Boy Promotions and became a legitimate prospect with back-to-back wins over 8-0 Santiago Guevara and 14-1 Emanuel Gonzalez. He believes things will only get bigger from here. Carlos is married with two children. He works as a restaurant manager in a busy downtown Los Angeles diner, Nick’s Cafe. He trains, works and takes care of his family.
